Hello everyone!
We are moving right along with the school year in 3rd grade. It is hard to believe we are on Day 57 of school! We are continuing to solve word problems in Math with Multiplication and Division. We are also learning our Multiplication Karate Facts. We are practicing really hard with these facts! We are starting a Persuasive Writing and also learning about the Ancient Greeks and the United States Government. We had so much fun at the GA Aquarium! What a great experience for our children! :)
Please continue to check your child's homework binders and agendas each night and Monday Folders as well for important information. Thank you for all your support! We are working SO hard and learning a lot in 3rd grade!

October Update
Hello Everyone :)
It's hard to believe it's already October! We are off to a great start this year in 3rd grade so far. We have been learning about science habitats, multiplication, division, and different reading strategies to use during reading. In writing, we have learned how to write a paragraph and now we are writing an informational writing piece. Just a reminder: Please remind your students about their behavior at school. We expect all our students to follow the school rules and classroom rules at Sugar Hill. Be ready. Be respectful. Be responsible. Please remind students of these rules and expectations again. They are very important to enable us to have an excellent school year that is full of well-behaved fun and learning.
Important dates coming up:
October 20: Curriculum Night, 6-8 PM
October 26: Georgia Aquarium Field Trip in Atlanta. More information to come!
Thank you for sharing your children with us. We enjoy teaching them each and everyday.
3rd grade ROCKS!

Teacher “TWEETs”
We are continuing our preparation for the
CRCT by practicing test taking strategies. In addition, we are starting to
review standards taught earlier in the year. It is of the utmost importance
that your children be present at school each day. We have missed 8 days of
instruction due to inclement weather. We have begun reviewing material learned
earlier this year, but we are still teaching new material and will be from now
until the end of the year. With that being said, if possible, please schedule
all doctor and dentist appointments after school. We realize that this may not
be a possibility for every student and that special circumstances will arise,
but we would appreciate your help with attendance at this very critical part of
the school year. Thank you!
As always, please feel free to contact your
child’s homeroom teacher with any questions.
